Game Swipe ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Game Swipe mobile application ("the App").

By using Game Swipe, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Information We Collect

Information you provide:

Player name or display name (set during onboarding)
Email address and password (if you create an account)
Game category preferences

Information collected automatically:

Game high scores and total scores
Daily login streak data
App usage duration (for session management)
Sound and notification preferences

Most of your data is stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage. We only sync minimal data (like high scores) to our servers if you create an account.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide and maintain the App's functionality
Save your game progress, high scores, and preferences
Track your daily login streak
Manage gameplay session limits (free vs. Pro users)
Send you notifications about streaks and game reminders (if enabled)
Improve the App experience and fix bugs

Data Storage & Security

Your game data (scores, bookmarks, preferences) is primarily stored locally on your device using encrypted on-device storage. This data remains on your device and is not accessible to us unless you create an account and opt into syncing.

If you create an account, minimal data (such as high scores and profile information) is transmitted securely to our servers using HTTPS encryption.

Notifications

Game Swipe may send local notifications to:

Remind you to maintain your daily streak
Let you know when a gameplay cooldown has ended
Encourage you to return after periods of inactivity

You can disable notifications at any time through your device's Settings or within the App's settings screen. Notification permissions are requested during onboarding and are entirely optional.

Device Permissions

The App may request the following permissions. All are optional and the App functions fully without them:

Camera — For setting a profile photo
Photo Library — For choosing a profile picture or saving screenshots
Notifications — For streak reminders and game alerts

We do not access your camera, photos, or any other device features without your explicit permission. You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.

Third-Party Services

Game Swipe does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Account creation is optional, and the App can be fully enjoyed without providing any personal information.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information through account creation, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Data Deletion

You have the right to delete your data at any time:

Local data — Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data (scores, preferences)
Account data — You can delete your account directly within the App from your Profile settings. This will permanently remove your account and all associated data from our servers

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically for any changes.
